Kolobrzeg is conveniently situated with an easy access to the international highway E28 connecting Berlin and Gdansk. It is 514km (320 miles) from Warsaw and only 275km (170 miles) from the capital of Germany.

For tourists arriving to Europe from overseas and heading to Kolobrzeg directly, the best solution would be arriving either at Berlin International Airport or Warsaw International Airport (Okecie). Both hubs offer a wide variety of transportation options. Depending on your preferences you can choose from rental vehicles, train or coach connections and even private van shuttles.
Each means has some pros and cons. A rented car will give you independence enabling you to visit all remarkable places on your way while buses and trains may bring you to your destination much faster.

From Szczecin |
- From downtown Szczecin reach Hwy E28/E65 to Goleniow.
- In the point where E28/E65 split, stay on E28 toward Nowogard.
- There will be two other larger towns you will pass on your way - Ploty and Ryman.
- 15km (10 miles) behind Ryman highway E28 crosses local road 162. Turn left onto 162 toward Gosciniec.
- Road 162 will lead you directly to the city center of Kolobrzeg.

From Gdansk |
- From downtown Gdansk reach highway E77 toward Gdynia.
- Having driven approximately 30km (18 miles) you will reach Tri-City Bypass (Hwy. E28) (Obwodnica Trojmiejska) where you turn right.
- E28 will merge with local Road A27 (Morska Street). Stay on E28 toward Rumia and Reda.
- Driving westbound on E28 you will pass Wejherowo, Lembork, Slupsk and Slawno.
- In Koszalin exit on Road 11 (Morska Street) toward Mielno.
- Continue to follow Road 11 until you reach downtown of Kolobrzeg.

From Warsaw |
- From downtown Warsaw reach Hwy 77 toward Plonsk.
- Before Plonsk exit on Road 10 to Sierpc.
- Stay on Road 10 till Lubicz.
- In Lubicz turn right onto Lubicka Street (or Road 552) to Lysomice. This way you will avoid heavy traffic of Torun.
- In Lysomice merge with Hwy 75 and shortly after turn right toward Chelmza.
- Continue to follow E75 to Swiecie.
- Exit onto Road 240 to Tuchola and farther to Chojnice.
- In Chojnice take Road 22 to Czluchow.
- In Czhluchow turn right onto Road 25 northbound.
- Road 25 will lead you through Rzeczenica, Bialy Bor to Bobolice.
- In Bobolice take Road 11 to Koszalin.
- Stay on Road 11 to Kolobrzeg

From Poznan |
- From downtown Poznan reach Road 11 toward Oborniki.
- Stay on Road 11 passing Chodziez, Pila and Jastrowie.
- Just before Jastrowie Road 11 merges with Road 22. Stay on Road 11.
- Once you pass Jastrowie, still on Road 11 bear left toward Szczecinek, Bobolice and Koszalin.
- Follow Road 11 to Kolobrzeg.
